The Doomed Battle to Stop Liverpool’s Arms Fair

As political controversy erupted over the staging of the AOC Europe Electronic Warfare Convention 2021 in Liverpool, peace campaigners hit the streets. Determined to force the council to cancel the event and prevent the ‘merchants of death’ from using the city’s Exhibition Centre, a thousand demonstrators held an ultimately doomed rally to pile on the pressure.

As the Campaign Against The Arms Trade demonstrators marched from Princes Park to the city centre, accompanied by Labour stalwarts Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell, Liverpolitan Editor, Paul Bryan, joined the throng to hear what they had to say.
